Global leader LONGi Solar presents ETL Group's experience

28.08.25

The world leader in the production of monocrystalline solar cells, LONGi Solar Europe, which is included in the BNEF Tier 1 list, has published a business case study of the Ukrainian company ETL Group on its official website (https://eu.longi.com/blog/ukrainian-food-sector-navigates-energy-disruptions-with-solar-power-to-maintain-domestic-supply). This is a signal to international investors and partners that the Ukrainian solar energy market is developing and companies are ready for large-scale transformations.

We are talking about the implementation of a 2.33 MW solar power plant for a leading meat processing plant in the Dnipro region. This project has become an example of how, even in difficult conditions, Ukrainian businesses are able not only to maintain stable production, but also to invest in their own energy independence. The plant now covers 35% of its total energy needs with clean energy, resulting in expected annual savings of €500,000.

The key objectives of the project were:

  • to ensure a stable energy supply for the enterprise in conditions of an unstable energy system;
  • to reduce electricity costs, which are critical to the cost of production;
  • to create a long-term investment asset with a predictable return on investment.

The 2.33 MW solar power plant enabled the enterprise to:

  • reduce its dependence on external suppliers;
  • achieve annual savings of millions of hryvnias;
  • remain competitive in its industry even during energy challenges.

For ETL Group, this case is further confirmation that the company does not just build solar power plants, but creates solutions that bring long-term benefits to businesses.

Shared value for the market

In its article, LONGi Solar Europe emphasized that the ETL Group case is an example of how solar energy is becoming a tool for business economic security. Ukrainian companies are already implementing practices that are in line with global trends, from reducing their carbon footprint to increasing production sustainability.

Together with LONGi Solar Europe, ETL Group is implementing projects that allow Ukrainian enterprises to look to the future with confidence, using the power of the sun as a basis for economic growth and energy independence.

Go solar, go future!
